The Shining Sunbeam is a type of hummingbird from the Trochilidae family. It is relatively large and has dark-brown feathers with a lilac-gold iridescent lower back and rump. Its bill is proportionally short for a hummingbird. The bird is commonly found in high elevation, semi-arid montane ridges and cloud forests. You can find this bird on our tours to the Manu National Park.
