The Sapphire Spangled Emerald is a small hummingbird belonging to the Trochilidae family. Its back is glittering green, its throat and breast are violet-blue, its flanks are green, and it has a white stripe on its breast. The bill is slightly curved. This species is commonly seen in open and semi-open areas such as forest edges, savannas, woodlands, parks, and plantations. It can be found on our tours to the Manu National Park.
